Bacteriological air quality at transfer station area (case study: Gegerkalong Transfer Station, Bandung City)

Abstract This study aims to measure air bacteriological concentration, determine the effect of temperature, humidity, and wind speed on identify genus bacteria found around Gegerkalong waste transfer station. Sampling at stations was based a radius 0, 10, 30 60 meters East, West, South North station 09:00, 12:00 18:30 with 3 replicates. The method used concentration settling plate method. results showed that maximum area 67626 cfu/m minimum 1153 for agar nutrient media. Referring quality standards UK Environmental Agency, bacterial in exceeds standard 1000 , whereas Coliform were below standard. Bacteria are Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Shigella, Alcaligenes, Salmonella, Escherichia, Bacillus, Staphyloococcus . These can be concluded source airborne dispersion, which have an impact surrounding community.
